Introducing The Ashmosphere Crafts
If you have been following me over on Instagram, you might have noticed that during the Corona pandemic and subsequent lockdown I combatted the boredom by doing a lot of knitting and other forms of crafting. Knitting has been a long time hobby of mine. It was nice to use the time to learn new skills and techniques that I may have found daunting in the past. At the start of the lockdown, I worked with LoveCrafts.com to review Paintbox yarns and to create my own pattern that I called The Battenberg Baby knit.
Being approached to work with LoveCrafts kick-started something in me. Was my hobby something I was good enough to take to new level? This is when I really began thinking that maybe there was an opportunity for me to sell my knitting. But my imposter syndrome made an appearance. As it often does when you you begin to show a shred of self confidence. And that thought was put on the back burner. As I continue to knit, cross-stitch, and craft to my heart’s content, my home has increasingly become full of various projects in varying levels of completion. And frankly, they’re stacking up. Last month I decided, imposter syndrome be damned, I was going to open up my own Etsy shop. Well without further adieu, let me introduce The Ashmosphere Crafts.
The Ashmosphere Crafts is a Scottish-based shop selling handmade knitwear and crafts. Specialising in knitted accessories and embroidery hoops, I’m excited to showcase my designs on The Ashmosphere Crafts Etsy shop.
One thing I’m beginning to learn is sewing. I picked up some gorgeous Harris Tweed fabric whilst visiting my family in Harris so keep an eye out for some gorgeous items hitting my shop later in the year! I can’t wait to add more to my shop as my skill set progresses.
